The 5810 Sound Blaster is simple, easy-to-use and sturdy. If you are a rough user like me, and are looking for a basic phone with a loud sound, the 5810 is a good potion. For those who like a torch in their phones, the dual-LED torch at the front is a nice add-on.

Calling and Messaging

The call quality is pretty decent for a basic phone; however, the dual-SIM capability is similar to the other two phones. Also, I found messaging to be a bit uncomfortable, mainly due to the slightly-protruded keys.

Camera quality

The 1.3MP label on the camera had me prepared for lousy pictures. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Of course, it would be unfair to expect high-quality pictures, but the images fared better than most pictures taken by 1.3MP front-facing phone cameras. The customization options are similar to the other two phones. Strangely, the maximum image size (1280×1024) of the 5810 is larger than any of other two phones. You can also make videos if you are really desperate to capture a moment – I won’t vouch for the quality through.

File Transfer and Sound

File transfer via Bluetooth was smooth, although the almost non-existent built-in-phone memory necessitates an SD card. A nice, quirky feature was the option to schedule recording of FM programs, which worked perfectly. You must have the earplugs plugged in at the time of the scheduled recording, though. While the sound was pretty loud, it was very muffled and noisy. Speaking from a particularly vexing experience, do not attempt to record a song and play it back on the Sound Blaster – ‘snuff said.

Conclusion

Go for this phone if your usage needs are basic, and you are looking for a phone with loud speakers for playing songs. The dual-LED torch can be a life-saver.
