Connect Internet On PC/Laptop through Mobilink Jazz GPRS

Although there are a lot of alternatives available to connect quality internet in pakistan. For example World CAll EVDO USB provide cheap and fast internet connectivity in Pakistan. Similarly PTCL EVDO, Zong USB etc are the fast growing USB internet connectivity tools available that you can use for computer or laptop. For those who just want to use a dial up internet and want to connect internet from Jazz Mobilink on there PC/Laptop, then in this article you can learn that how to connect internet from Jazz mobilink on your computer or Laptop.

Requirements

1. GPRS or EDGE enabled Mobile Phone

2. Driver CD of your mobile phone, so that you can install the modem in your PC or Laptop (First install driver of you mobile phone so that you can start connecting internet from zong)

3. A Data Cable, Blue tooth or InfraRed

How to Connect Internet Through Zong on PC

1. Insert your phone data cable in your computer or Laptop. (You must first install your modem driver)

2. Now go to Control Panel and click on “Phone and Modem” option

4. Select your phone modem from “Modem” Tab and go to its properties.

5. Now in “Properties” click on “Advance Tab” and type the below code in “Extra initialization command” box.

For Jazz Users:- AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,“jazzconnect.mobilinkworld.com

For PostPaid USers:- AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”connect.mobilinkworld.com

Now click on “OK” button and complete the create a Dial Up Connection.

Create Dial Up Connection for Jazz

1. Go to “Control Panel” and click on ‘Network Connection” and click on ‘Create a new Connection” from the left side of the menu.

2. Click on “Next” in the first widnow, The select “Connect to Internet” option, then click on “Next”, then select “Set up Connection Manually” and once again click on “Next”

3. In the next option select “Connect Internet Using Dial Up Modem and click on “Next”, Now select your Phone Modem and Click on Next”

4. Type any name in “ISP Name” and type phone number in Phone area that is *99# and username and password is mobilink

5. Now click on “Next” and then “Finish”

Connect Internet Now

1. Open the connection that you created recently. (You can find in Network Connection”

2. Type username and password that is mobilink and click on “Dial” Button.
